Baby Boomer Taxi Driver Is
Another Reasonable Part-Time Job
Baby Boomer Taxi Driver
Baby Boomer Taxi Driver is another reasonable part-time job. When I was in college at Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, I had a good friend who worked part-time as a yellow cab driver. This guy used the earned money to pay for his college education; later on he did so well that he could buy the taxi Medallion.

In NYC, in order to own a yellow cab taxi you need to purchase a medallion, an ownership license. It is called medallion because it is a piece of round metal stamped right on to the hood of your cab; it is some kind of a prestigious symbol in the taxi world.

You can make good money driving a yellow cab in NYC; it is such a part of the Big Apple. A long while back, Hollywood even made a TV sitcom, “ Taxi”, starring by Danny De Vito and Judd Hirsch.
In Florida, there has been a need for a private taxi driver. There are a number of well-to-do private citizens who need an airport pick-up to his oceanfront residence; they prefer not to use available airport limousine services.
|
I know because while I was in Florida, my father worked with these private citizens and he saw these private drivers from time to time.
To do this you would need some types of licenses; limo driver licenses….
As I recalled when I was in NYC, it always cost a few dollars to ten dollars minimum just to get anywhere, tips included. So you see, you can do well financially.
