Baby Boomer Educational Services Involve Teaching Someone Something
Baby Boomer Educational Services Baby Boomer Educational Services involve teaching someone something, and what and whom to teach have such a large scope and variety. My part-time teaching career started when I was in a freshman grade in a Brooklyn high school. I was pretty good at algebra at the time so the teacher asked me if I mind tutor a friend in the same class once a week, for $1 an hour plus cookies and milk. I said ok.
Today, you can tutor somebody for much more than a $1 an hour and cookies.I would like to remind everybody again that our generation has been working for someone or ourselves for the last 25+ years. We have accumulated a body of knowledge/experience for all that time. So, you have enough knowledge to teach somebody something. However, you may not know how to teach but there is some training courses for that. Now if you do not like to teach anybody anything then use other strategies. According to the US Labor Department… Educational services are the second largest industry in the US in 2004 and I believe it is still the case today. Some ideas; Cooking Instructions Automobile Driving Self-enrichment teacher (need experience only)
High School Sports Couch
Librarians
Adult literacy and remedial education teacher
High School Teacher Assistant
Above are just sample teaching activities you could participate part-time. What ever your niche is you need to check out its available opportunity in your area. Please also check licensing requirements.Payoff – Check Outlook A full time staff can earn from $20,000 to $45,000 per year (Teacher Assistant to Educational Counselor). So, working part-time would be less, say a few hundreds to a thousand dollars per month.
Again, I consider this strategy as an indirect strategy. Here, you want to generate an extra income and build a second career. Then as mentioned before, use the extra income to buy rental units, or if you could create a real business from teaching, like building educational courses, then go for it. I will talk about this more in the eBook section. Return to
